The Things In Which I Dream

This challenge reminds me of the cliche question they ask in school, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" It is a question I ask myself still to this day. To tell someone that they can be anything they want and then ask, "of all those things what would you want to be?" only threw me further into the pool of uncertainty.

I've done a variety of things for work; telecommunications, top-flight security, delivered newspapers, bust tables, washed dishes, moved furniture, retail, stock, IT work, electrical work, and even military and I aim to extend that list as time goes on. The trouble I have with identifying a dream job is based on my ever-present need for change.

I've meditated on quite a few professions that I feel I'd be content with calling a dream job. Of them, the idea of being a director or independent film-maker feels the most satisfying. It is a job that would challenge me to find creative ways to engage with an audience without having the immediate attention of an audience. I would be able to travel and work with a variety of people, there is always room for growth, and I would never get tired of creating visual representations of the things in which I dream.
